Doctor of Nursing Practice Applicants

How to Apply

Graduate applicants interested in our Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program are ready to practice at the highest level of their education as doctorally-prepared nurse practitioners (NPs). DNP scholars are rigorously prepared to become capable change agents, working collaboratively to map the frontlines of quality outcomes, patient advocacy, and health policy with a special emphasis on improving access to care and eliminating health disparities.

Application Deadline

Your application, official transcripts, letters of recommendation, and personal statement must be received by the admissions deadline listed below.

Application Requirements

  • Submit your online application via the Rutgers University Graduate Admissions portal.
  • Provide two letters of recommendation; we prefer one that is academic and one that is professional.
  • Compose a personal statement describing career goals and professional ambitions.
  • Send official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities.
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of B+.
  • Finalists must attend an interview that will be scheduled by Rutgers School of Nursing–Camden.

1. Apply Online

Please submit your online application via the Rutgers University Graduate Admissions portal. You will be asked to create a Login ID and PIN.

2. Submit Transcripts

Submit copies of all of your official academic transcripts to the Rutgers University–Camden Office of Admissions. We strongly urge you to submit your transcripts well in advance of the application deadline, noted above. Please email gradsnc@camden.rutgers.edu as soon as you request your transcripts, and, if possible, send a confirmation of the transaction. If you are sending your transcripts electronically, please use this email address: gradsnc@camden.rutgers.edu

3. Letters of Recommendation

We urge you to follow-up with your recommenders to ensure timely delivery of any letters of recommendation.
