The master of arts in criminal justice program prepares graduates for careers and advancement in justice-related fields as well as further study at the PhD level. The criminal justice curriculum emphasizes a comprehensive understanding of crime and the justice system, including contemporary issues affecting it, and the analytic skills required to conduct research and assess public policy. This multidisciplinary program offers courses in law and the humanities as well as public policy and administration.
Rutgers–Camden’s dual MA/MPA, offered jointly by the criminal justice and public policy and administration programs, provides a comprehensive criminal justice and public management education. Both the master’s and dual-degree programs are open to part-time and full-time students.
