As vice chancellor of research, Benedetto Piccoli is the administrative leader of the research office, working to implement and expand programs to support faculty and student research at Rutgers University–Camden. He also serves as the is the Joseph and Loretta Lopez Chair in Mathematics. Piccoli earned his Ph.D. from SISSA-ISAS in Trieste, Italy.
