Rutgers alumnus and former Star-Ledger columnist Bob Braun will be the special guest speaker at the monthly meeting of the Rutgers University–Camden Alumni Association (RUCAA). Braun served as the Star-Ledger’s education editor for nearly 30 years and then its senior news columnist. He was part of the team that won the Pulitzer Prize in 2005 for coverage of Gov. James E. McGreevey’s resignation and also won the 2010 Associated Press Managing Editor’s award for foreign correspondence for his coverage of the Haiti earthquake. Braun wrote frequently about the proposed Rutgers–Camden/Rowan merger in 2012. The author of the book Teachers and Power, Braun now works as an independent journalist and communications consultant. He continues to write about New Jersey on his blog http://bobbraunsledger.com. To register for the meeting, email firstname.lastname@example.org. A light meal will be available for $12.
