Sessions run from 10-11 a.m. and from 11 a.m. to noon. Each session includes several different stories. Afterward, children will create artwork inspired by one of the stories. There is no cost to attend, but reservations are required.

Brookdale Community College students can receive an in-person decision for Rutgers–Camden programs. The application fee will be waived for applicants who apply to Rutgers–Camden programs offered at Brookdale Community College and on-campus programs at Rutgers–Camden. This multimedia presentation by Caryn Lin transforms sound with a five-string electric violin and a myriad of modern technology. Students journey from the classical days of Bach to today’s techno-wonders. Part of the Summer Arts at RCCA program. Performances are open to everyone, but are especially recommended for Camden City youth ages 4-18. Group size is generally limited to approximately 125 per performance. A supervisor is required for every ten students.

Totally Vocally is packed with music, entertainment, and education! Through contemporary and classic cover songs as well as original works, Ball in the House helps students discover the history of a cappella singing, from chant to doo-wop. The elements of teamwork and collaboration are equally highlighted as students explore how various vocal parts create harmony and beats, working in unison to produce a multidimensional piece of music. Part of the Summer Arts at RCCA program.

Music Technology with Brent Daniels shows students the important relationship between the technology they have in their classrooms or at home and the creation of the music and sounds they hear on their iPods and on TV, in movies, and video games.
