When Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, observed its 250th anniversary, we also celebrated the 90th anniversary of the founding of Rutgers University–Camden and the 65th year of Rutgers–Camden being an integral part of the state university.
Rutgers is open and operating. The university has moved to remote instruction for the summer term. Some services and facilities may not be operating or are operating on limited schedules.
Honoring Our Exceptional Alumni
In commemoration of these landmark occasions, Rutgers University–Camden inducted a select number of exceptional alumni in the Rutgers–Camden Finest, an assembly of graduates whose lives and careers have made an indelible mark upon society and the advancement of knowledge. In 2001, 50 alumni were inducted as the inaugural cohort. In 2006, 17 more top graduates were honored.
