Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts presents a series of exhibitions and related programs in the Stedman Gallery. The exhibition program includes national and international touring exhibitions as well as exhibitions curated in-house and by local curators. RCCA also participates in state-and nation-wide programming initiatives. Exhibitions are supplemented with printed informational brochures and label text, activities that provide in-depth exploration of the overall topic or individual artworks through lectures by scholars, discussions with artists, or demonstrations, behind-the scenes tours, etc.

Public performance programs are presented in the 650-seat Gordon Theater, the 100-seat Black Box Studio, or the 50-seat Stedman Gallery. Artists presented included Diane Shuur & Maynard Ferguson, Gato Barbieri, Dianne Reeves, Bill Frissell, McCoy Tyner with Savion Glover, Esperanza Spalding, TS Monk, the Jimmy Heath Quartet, as well as local and regional jazz artists including bassist Jamaaladeen Tacuma. The Gordon Theater is now the permanent venue for the classical concert series of NJ's Symphony in C (SIC), one of three major training orchestras in the USA. The Gordon Theater is also the NJ venue for the Academy of Vocal Arts superb full operas with orchestra, performed by young opera singers from around the world.
