Federal Requirements:
The TRiO SSS Federal Student Grant Aid Award is provided by the U.S. Department of Education to support the educational pursuits of TRiO/SSS participants at Rutgers University- Camden. Grant amounts are dependent upon financial unmet need and availability of funds. Federal Grant Aid Awards do not affect any other grant amounts as this aid serves to supplement to an eligible SSS student’s financial aid package. The Grant Aid funding is for students who are current participants, are in their first two years of postsecondary education, and are receiving Federal Pell Grants.
What is the Cost of Participation?
There is no cost to students who qualify. The program is fully funded by the U.S. Department of Education and by Rutgers University-Camden. Students who are current and active participants (as defined by SSS program), who are in their first two years of postsecondary education and who are receiving Federal Pell Grants are eligible to receive SSS Grant Aid. The Director and Developmental Specialist for the Student Support Services Program will provide addition information to prospective participants upon request.
