New Jersey Community College Students

NJ Transfer is a web-based utility to help New Jersey community and county college students choose courses that will transfer to four-year colleges and universities. We recommend that prospective students use NJ Transfer to determine if a course offered at a New Jersey community and county college will transfer to Rutgers University (except for the School of Health Related Professions). You can also determine if:

  • there is an equivalent course or courses at Rutgers University;
  • the course satisfies any general education requirements at Rutgers University; or
  • the course satisfies any requirements for the Rutgers major program of study.

APPEALS PROCESS FOR CREDIT EVALUATIONS

If a student disagrees with an assigned equivalency for credit evaluations, a transfer student may appeal this decision if they are in disagreement with an assigned equivalency.

Rutgers University–Camden’s Office of New Student Programs performs the initial transfer evaluation. The student should review the evaluation for accuracy, and should the student feel there are any discrepancies, listed below is the appeal process.

There are three levels of appeal.

  • A level 1 appeal must be made within 30 days of receiving the evaluation.
  • A level 2 appeal must be made two weeks after the level 1 decision.
  • A level 3 appeal must be made within two weeks of the level 2 decision.
