Ralph and Marion Arbuckle Scholarship: Established by Dr. Georgia Arbuckle-Keil (CCAS '83) in honor of her parents. Awarded to a full-time first-year student in the Rutgers-Camden College of Arts and Sciences upon his or her graduation from Palmyra High School in Palmyra. Preference given to students majoring or with an interest in the sciences and/or the arts. APPLICATION: Not required; selection made by the Scholarship Committee based on current information on file.
Baratz and Associates Endowed Scholarship: Established by Brian Baratz (CCAS '72), Ray Giunta (CCAS '80), Clifford Simmons (CCAS '81), and Francis Mulroy (CCAS '85), all of Baratz and Associates, to support students in the Honors College at Rutgers-Camden. Awarded to full-time undergraduate College of Arts and Sciences students in the Honors College who demonstrate academic merit and financial need. William A. Becker Fund: Awarded to a College of Arts and Sciences undergraduate student based on financial need.
Ralph Bergen Allen Memorial Scholarship: Established by Dr. Phillip (CCAS '57) and Mrs. Penny Larsen in memory of Dr. Ralph Bergen Allen, a beloved professor at Rutgers-Camden. Awarded to students with financial need who are already attending the Rutgers-Camden College of Arts and Sciences or University College. APPLICATION: Not required; selection made by the Scholarship Committee based on current information on file.
Dr. Leonard Bidwell Memorial Endowed Scholarship: Established by Dr. Leonard Bidwell's children, Nicholas Bidwell and Dr. Sylvia Bidwell (DC '90), and their mother, Eva Bidwell, in memory of his dedication to teaching mathematics at Rutgers-Camden. Awarded to undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior students majoring in mathematics with preference to students participating in the Putnam or other national mathematics competitions or who otherwise exhibit exceptional talent and promise in the field. APPLICATION: Not required; selection made by the mathematics department based on current information on file.
Nancy Camishion Memorial Scholarship: Awarded to a registered nurse who is attending Rutgers-Camden to attain a baccalaureate degree; demonstrates academic achievement; and has an interest in oncology nursing. APPLICATION: Not required; selection made by the Nursing Department based on current information on file.
Mary Camishion-Malone Memorial Scholarship: Awarded to a high achieving nursing student who exemplifies those humanitarian qualities that endeared Mary to her family, patients, and fellow professionals. APPLICATION: Not required; selection made by the Nursing Department based on current information on file.
Richard A. Caulk Memorial Scholarship: The fund is an endowment by Paul A. Caulk in memory of his son, Richard, a member of the Rutgers—Camden history department from 1979 to 1983. Awarded to a junior or senior undergraduate student majoring in history on the Rutgers—Camden campus.
Miriam Thomas Chaplin Endowed Scholarship: Established by C. Edward Chaplin (RC '78) in honor of his mother, Dr. Miriam Thomas Chaplin, a professor emerita and former chair of the English department at Rutgers-Camden. Awarded to full-time undergraduate students majoring in English with a GPA of at least 3.0. Preference given to students considering a career in teaching. Application not required; selection made by the English department based on current information on file.
Chemistry Alumni Scholarship: This annual scholarship is established by Dr. Sid Katz and is to be awarded to College of Arts and Sciences undergraduate students majoring in chemistry.
Clearview Scholarship: Full-tuition scholarship for a student graduating from the Clearview High School in Gloucester County, who is majoring in agriculture, science, engineering, medicine, nursing or teaching. Selected by Clearview High School. May be used at other campuses.
College Scholar Award: Awarded to high-achieving transfer students enrolled full time in the Rutgers-Camden College of Arts and Sciences. Application not required; selection made by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
The John C. Collier Research Scholarship: Established by Margaret Collier to provide financial assistance to students enrolled at the Camden Campus of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, to support research by undergraduate students in chemistry.
Concord Chemical Company Scholarship: Awarded to undergraduate students from the City of Camden who plan to major in business and have high academic performance. Must be from Camden City. For more information, contact Samantha Collier at scollier@camden.rutgers.edu.
Dorothy and David Cooper Scholarship: Established in memory of David and Dorothy Cooper and Dorothy’s late parents, Paul and Sylvia Markum, this endowed scholarship is for undergraduate students majoring in psychology.
Earl J. Evans Memorial Scholarship: This annual scholarship is established in memory of Earl J. Evans by his daughter and son-in-law, Lori L. and Michael W. Chewkanes, to provide financial assistance to students enrolled at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Scholarships are to be awarded to College of Arts and Sciences undergraduate students majoring in criminal justice, sociology, or urban studies.
Florence P. Goodwin Scholarship: Established by Bonnie Dodd (CCAS '69) in honor of her mother. Awarded to a full-time undergraduate student at Rutgers-Camden who attended a Camden City high school with priority given to women and students studying business administration. Application not required; selection made by the Scholarship Committee based on current information on file.
Richard C. Goodwin Scholarship in Honor of Ethel Lawrence: Established by Richard C. Goodwin in honor of Ethel Lawrence and her role in New Jersey's landmark Mount Laurel decision regarding affordable housing. Awarded to full-time undergraduate students in the Rutgers-Camden College of Arts and Sciences with an interest in pursuing a career and/or involvement in the areas of affordable housing, community service, or urban studies. Candidates must submit a resume and essay describing these interests. Application not required; selection made by the urban studies department based on current information on file.
Gulick/Coleman Scholarship: Established by Assistant Dean Nancy V. Gulick (DC '72/GSC '82) and Professor Emeritus Charles J. Coleman to support students at Rutgers-Camden. Awarded to a full-time junior or senior undergraduate student in the Camden College of Arts and Sciences majoring in musical theater or theater arts who has performed in or assisted with several Rutgers-Camden theater productions as an actor, assistant director, or member of the technical crew. Application not required; selection made by the Scholarship Committee based on current information on file.
Hispanic Scholarship: Established by Saul Diaz (RC '73) to promote diversity at Rutgers-Camden. Awarded to full-time undergraduate students in the Rutgers-Camden College of Arts and Sciences who are historically underrepresented, have high academic and leadership potential, and participate in the Teacher Preparation Program. Application not required; selection made by the Teacher Preparation Program based on current information on file.
Stephen and Nancy Hovnanian Endowed Scholarship: This endowed scholarship is established by Stephen and Nancy Hovnanian to provide financial assistance to non-traditional undergraduate students in University College and enrolled in majors in the Department of Fine Arts.
Lambert Blunt Jackson Memorial Scholarship: Established by friends and family of Lambert Jackson in memory of his dedication to students in the Educational Opportunity Fund program at Rutgers-Camden. Awarded to full-time undergraduate Rutgers-Camden College of Arts and Sciences students in EOF. Application not required; selection made by the EOF department based on current information on file.
Harold D. Jerome Memorial Scholarship: Established by Dr. Wilbert Jerome in memory of his father. Awarded on the basis of talent and potential to an undergraduate student majoring in music at the Rutgers-Camden College of Arts and Sciences. Dorothy Mallery Endowed Music Scholarship: Established by the Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star of New Jersey in memory of Dorothy Mallery, who served as Rutgers University’s grand organist. Awarded to full-time undergraduate students studying music in the Rutgers-Camden College of Arts and Sciences. Application not required; selection made by the Department of Fine Arts based on current information on file.
George W. and Kay H. Mamo Endowed Scholarship: Established by George (CCAS '76) and Kay Mamo in support of students in the Honors College at Rutgers-Camden. Awarded to full-time undergraduate College of Arts Sciences students in the Honors College who demonstrate academic merit and financial need. Frank W. Mannella Memorial Scholarship: This annual scholarship is established by Chuck Mannella in memory of his father Frank W. Mannella. Scholarships are awarded to full-time undergraduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences who reside in Somerdale, New Jersey, and attended Sterling High School in Somerdale, New Jersey.
Brian Martin Scholarship: Awarded to an incoming full-time undergraduate student who has participated in community related activities, or will do so while attending college. Application not required; selection made by the Office of Student Life based on current information on file.
Tony Mickelson Memorial Scholarship: Established by Joanna Mickelson in memory of her husband Tony, a long-time employee at Rutgers University. Awarded to Rutgers-Camden nursing students in their senior year who exhibit kindness, compassion, and gentleness in their treatment of patients. Application not required; selection made by the School of Nursing based on current information on file.
Gloria H. Moffatt Memorial Endowed Scholarship: Established by James Moffatt, a long-time member of the Department of English at Rutgers-Camden, in memory of his wife. Awarded to full-time undergraduate Rutgers-Camden College of Arts and Sciences students majoring in English who demonstrate commitment to public or community service. Application not required; selection made by English department based on current information on file.
More' Family Scholarship: This annual scholarship is established in honor of Paul and Michelina More' by their son Paul Jr. and in recognition of the support of his wife, Dianna, and his two children, Jacqueline and Paul III, all graduates of Rutgers. Scholarships are to be awarded to full-time undergraduate students, who are a minimum of four years removed from high school and are in their junior year in the College of Arts and Sciences or University College. Scholarships are to be awarded to students majoring in one of the following departments: physics, chemistry, biology, nursing, mathematics, or psychology.

Jack and Mary O’Malley Endowed Fund for Academic Excellence: This endowed scholarship is established by Jack and Mary O’Malley to be awarded to full-time undergraduate students.
Patt Orrino Memorial Endowed Scholarship: Established by the Patt Orrino Memorial Scholarship Foundation and friends at the Gloucester City Public School District in memory of Patt Orrino (CCAS '78). Awarded to adult undergraduate nursing students at Rutgers-Camden who exhibit financial need; have a minimum GPA of 3.2; and are preferably over the age of 24. Application not required; selection made by the School of Nursing based on current information on file.
Janice Camishion Piccone Scholarship: Awarded to a nursing student who demonstrates academic excellence.
PRIDE Industries Scholarship for Students with Disabilities: Scholarship recipients are among full-time undergraduate students. This scholarship was established by PRIDE Industries, a leading employer of people with disabilities, to assist Rutgers-Camden and Rutgers at the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst students with disabilities with tuition and/or other education related expenses as they pursue their educational and vocational goals. Students must have a documented disability, as confirmed by the Office of Disability Services. Students must be enrolled at Rutgers-Camden or Rutgers at the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, must be enrolled a minimum of 6 hours, and must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Student must maintain a GPA of 2.8 or higher. Preference will be given to those with financial need.

Jeanne and Lewis Romer Scholarship: Established by Jeanne (UCC '79) and Lewis (UCC '76) Romer in support of adult students at Rutgers-Camden. Awarded to full-time non-traditional students in the College of Arts and Sciences or University College. The Rotary Club of Camden Scholarship: Awarded to a transfer student or a student from the City of Camden.
The Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship: Awarded to an outstanding student to encourage international understanding.
The Alfredo Santiago Endowed Scholarship: Established by Dr. Gloria Bonilla-Santiago in memory of her husband who was an employee of Rutgers. The scholarship is awarded to full-time first-year students graduating from the LEAP Academy University Charter High School, based on academic merit and financial need, with a preference to underrepresented students majoring in areas of study such as math, science, engineering, and pre-med. Application not required; selection made by the Scholarship Committee based on current information on file.
The Robert C. Sheppard Endowed Scholarship: Established at the bequest of Robert Sheppard to support students at Rutgers-Camden. The scholarship is awarded to full-time undergraduate students who have financial need, with preference given to students from southern New Jersey. Application not required; selection made by the Scholarship Committee based on current information on file.
Jay A. Sigler Endowed Scholarship: Established by friends, graduates, and family upon the retirement of Dr. Jay Sigler, a beloved professor of political science at Rutgers-Camden. Awarded to matriculated MPA (master of public policy and administration) students or undergraduate students majoring in political science based on motivation, professional experience, and potential. Application not required; selection made by the Department of Public Policy based on current information on file.
Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship: Presented to outstanding undergraduates to conduct sustained research with a faculty mentor during the summer months.
Harry S. Trautenberg Memorial Endowed Scholarship: Established by Helen Trautenberg and friends in memory of her husband. Awarded to Rutgers-Camden College of Arts and Sciences students majoring in music. Students must show excellence and promise of future growth in piano or organ. Application not required; selection made by the Department of Fine Arts based on current information on file.
University College Scholar Award: Awarded to high-achieving transfer students enrolling in at least six credits at University College. These awards will generally be made after a student's first semester.
Jack Marvin Weiner Memorial Endowed Scholarship: Established in honor of Jack Weiner (CCAS '55/CLaw '58) by his wife, Lenore Weiner, and son, Lee Weiner (CCAS '92), to support students majoring in political science at Rutgers-Camden. Awarded to students who in their junior year are deemed by the political science department to be the most outstanding students.
Ralph W. Wescott Scholarship Fund: Established by Mrs. Wescott to commend the legacy of her husband, Ralph Wescott, this scholarship is awarded to a Faculty of Arts and Sciences student who demonstrates financial need.
Evelyn E. White Endowed Scholarship: Established by the Estate of Evelyn White (CCAS '53) to assist full-time undergraduate students majoring in music at Rutgers-Camden. Preference given to those with a special interest in the study of piano performance. Application not required; selection made by the Music Department.

Zonta Club of Greater Camden Scholarship: Established by the Zonta Club of the Tri County Area Burlington-Camden-Gloucester Counties to assist in defraying the tuition costs of female students at Rutgers-Camden who have financial need and high academic achievement.
