Spring Concert to be Held May 4

The Rutgers University–Camden Department of Fine Arts and its music program will host a collaborative, seasonal concert, titled “Spring Serenade,” at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 4.

The concert, which is free and open to the general public, will be held in the Walter K. Gordon Theater.

The Rutgers University Singers will perform a series of pieces, ranging from classical to modern, under the direction of Julia Zavadsky, a part-time lecturer of music.

The Rutgers–Camden Orchestra Ensemble, under the direction of Stefán Örn Arnarson, theater programs director, and student-formed chamber music groups will then take the stage to present a variety of selections, performing everything from heavy metal to Piazzolla Tango.

Also featured will be several guest soloists, including Rutgers alumni Dionne Fields and Abby Welsh, a viola duo, a cello quartet, and multiple piano solos.
