Rutgers–Camden Economic Conference to Consider Regional Growth in 2014

CAMDEN — Current and future economic conditions for the Delaware Valley region will be examined during the first 2014 session of the Rutgers–Camden Business Outlook, which will be held from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30.

Real estate, health care, energy, and their roles in the current regional economy, will be discussed during this event.

Sponsored by Flaster/Greenberg, the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey, and Rutgers–Camden, the conference evaluates the region's health by examining key South Jersey industries.  Four area executives will report on the performance of their business sectors during final quarter of 2013, and will forecast the region's economic health into the summer.

The panelists (and their industries) include Luke Tilley (economy), regional economic advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia; Christopher Oliva (health care), president of Continuum Health Alliance, based in Marlton; Paul Riggins (energy), CEO of Riggins Oil, based in Vineland ; and Thomas Heitzman (commercial real estate), president of Whitesell Construction Company, headquartered in Delran.

Heitzman also serves as chair of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey.

Peter Spirgel, managing shareholder at Flaster/Greenberg, will moderate the discussion.

This conference, which is free of charge and open to the public, is supported by the Cherry Hill law firm of Flaster/Greenberg, one of New Jersey’s top 50 law firms, and the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey.
