The Gleaner to Host Book Signing for Student Authors

In recognition of homegrown talent, The Gleaner, Rutgers University–Camden’s student-run newspaper, will host a book reading and signing for student authors 1st Lt. Mark A. Bodrog and Sean Lynch at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11.

The event, which is free and open to the general public, will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room on the main level of the Campus Center. Following the readings and discussion, the authors’ books will be available to purchase and for them to sign.

A Rutgers–Camden graduate student and alumnus, Bodrog served as a first lieutenant and infantry officer in the U.S. Marines. The criminal justice major looks back at the critical role his unit played supporting Operation Enduring Freedom 10.1, in the Helmand Province, Afghanistan, in his new book, Second Platoon: Call Sign Hades: A Memoir of the Marines of the Combined Action Company, published by iUniverse.

A Gleaner writer, Sean Lynch began writing poetry in 2002, culminating in his first poetry collection, the city of your mind, published by Whirlwind Press. The collection has earned praise from renowned poets such as Lamont B. Steptoe, CAConrad, and Frank Sherlock. The history major and theater arts minor also served as the editor of a poetry collection written by Camden poet Rocky Wilson.
