Liberal studies is a well-rounded major that allows qualified, motivated students to experience a variety of classes in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. This interdisciplinary program enables students who hold an associate of applied science degree in fields such as business technology, dental hygiene, legal assistance, or nursing to earn a bachelor’s degree after two years of full-time study.
Students often begin the liberal studies program after accumulating valuable work experience, and many pursue a degree while continuing to work. Through its individualized curriculum, the liberal studies major helps to develop critical skills essential to the liberal arts and sciences and improves students’ career potential.
