The computer science major at Rutgers–Camden delivers a comprehensive curriculum based on recommendations from two premier professional societies: the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). While professors in the Department of Computer Science engage in various research areas, the department’s vibrant research program is particularly strong in theoretical areas. Undergraduate students have the opportunity to participate in research projects alongside professors or independently, and many students have won campus-wide awards.
