Chemistry

Students in the master of science in chemistry program have the opportunity to conduct research in the areas of analytical, biochemical, environmental, inorganic, organic, polymer, and theoretical chemistry. The program consists of two tracks: one emphasizes participation in research with faculty, resulting in a research thesis, and the other focuses primarily on graduate courses.

Graduates of the program are well prepared for professions in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, for teaching, or for further study in a PhD program. Students may study on a full- or part-time basis, with many courses offered in the evening.
