How to Get to Rutgers-Camden

Located in the very heart of the metro Philadelphia region, Rutgers-Camden is accessible from all major highways, as well as by most forms of public transportation.

Driving



 

Public Transportation

Regional Rail
New Jersey Transit’s RiverLINE light-rail system has a stop on the Rutgers-Camden campus at Third and Cooper Sts.

PATCO Speedline offers easy access from southern New Jersey and Philadelphia. The City Hall station at Fifth and Market Sts., one block from campus, is the Rutgers-Camden stop.

Amtrak stops at 30th Street Station in Philadelphia. Catch the SEPTA Market-Frankford Line to the 8th and Market stop, and then board the PATCO Speedline into New Jersey, where the first stop, the City Hall station, will provide access to Rutgers-Camden.


Bus
NJ TRANSIT buses stop at the Walter Rand Transportation Center. Rutgers-Camden offers shuttle bus service to and from this transportation hub. Call the Rutgers University Police Department at (856) 225-6009 to arrange rides between the Rand Transportation Center and the campus.


Ferry
The RiverLink Ferry offers seasonal service between Penns Landing in Philadelphia and the Camden Waterfront.


Airplane
Philadelphia International Airport is a 15-minute car ride from Rutgers-Camden. Take Interstate 95 North to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, then follow directions from Philadelphia to the campus. Using public transportation, take the SEPTA R1 Airport Regional Line to the Market East Station in Philadelphia. At that station, board the PATCO Speedline into New Jersey, where the first stop, the City Hall station, will provide access to Rutgers-Camden.
