Join Rutgers alumni for a night at the opera, featuring Puccini's classic La Boheme.
Whether you are a seasoned opera-goer or have never been, this is an event you will not want to miss! Our group will meet on the Rutgers-Camden campus and ride in the comfort of the Rutgers shuttle to the legendary Palm Restaurant in Philadelphia’s historic Bellevue Hotel. During dinner, Rutgers-Camden professor and noted soprano Dr. Julianne Baird will present an exclusive insider’s overview of the opera.
Following dinner, we will walk approximately two blocks to the Academy of Music for the Opera Company of Philadelphia’s inspired production of the romantic classic La Boheme, featuring Norah Amsellem in the role of Mimi and Bryan Hymel as Rodolfo. Immediately following the performance, the shuttle will return to campus.
Shuttle departs campus at 4:30 pm, dinner at 5:00 pm, and performance at 7:30 pm. Ticket price includes parking on the Rutgers-Camden campus, transportation between campus and Philadelphia, dinner at the Palm featuring Dr. Baird’s presentation and admission to the performance at the Academy of Music.
