Local:
BJ Swartz's City of Camden, New Jersey   An extensive Camden City site that includes a directory of businesses, community organizations, religious institutions, and other attractions and amenities of The City of Camden.

Yorkship Village, New Jersey    The village was designed by Electus Darwin Litchfield, who was influenced by the "garden city" developments popular in England at the time. He envisioned Yorkship Village as "a place of light rooms and clean yards, with adequate playgrounds and amusement fields; a place of beauty and appropriateness and cleanliness so great that a man returning from his daily toil would receive new strength and recreation; a place where the man who could save a fraction of his income would be able to obtain with it, for himself and for his children, a share of play and education, literature and music, and other uplifting things."

The Sunnyside Gardens development of garden apartments, to the north of Queens Boulevard, was the first planned "garden city" community in the United States and is still considered an outstanding example of urban planning. The neighborhood also features one and two-family homes and six-story apartment buildings. Major shopping streets are Queens Boulevard, Greenpoint Avenue and 46th Street.

Virtual Chestnut Hill   Chestnut Hill, a designated Historic District, is the welcoming Philadelphia neighborhood that is home to more than 200 boutique shops, art galleries, antique stores, cozy cafes and fine restaurants. 

Virtual Manayunk  Named a Historic District in 1983, Manayunk is a truely unique area of Philadelphia.

National:
Virtual Los Angeles    This map-based site contains hundreds of images of downtown Los Angeles, displaying its tremendous architectural, cultural and economic diversity. This project of the University of Southern California Geography Department.

Seaside, Florida  When the town of Seaside, Florida was created, it was the first manifestation of what has since become known as the New Urbanism. This return to the traditional neighborhood as a model has changed the way builders and planners view development, world-wide.

Celebration, Florida     Take the best ideas from the most successful towns of yesterday and the technology of the new millennium, and synthesize them into a close-knit community that meets the needs of today's families. The founders of Celebration started down a path of research, study, discovery, and enlightenment that resulted in one of the most innovative communities of the 20th century.
 

International:
Virtual Letchworth    Letchworth Garden City played an important role in the of development of modern urban planning theory and practice throughout the 20th century. The principles applied when  planning Letchworth were an experiment to try and overcome the problems of 
overcrowded, unhealthy cities, depressed rural areas and the poor building standards prevailing in some areas by the end of the Victorian era. Those principles have had an influence on British and International planners for almost 100 years.
