We welcome you to the wonderful world of urban studies! Urbanization is transforming the world economy. Urban studies explains the how, why, who wins, and who loses. Urban studies is for the student who wants to make a difference.

The field of Urban Studies analyzes contemporary problems of urban society and city life to find sustainable solutions.  The Urban Studies curriculum at Rutgers-Camden incorporates a comparative and interdisciplinary approach.  It integrates theory, evaluation, planning, and program implementation. The program prepares students for both graduate study and professional  employment opportunities.  They find careers in private,  non-profit, and government based urban service.
