New Jersey Board of Professional Planners Includes information about licensing, examinations, qualifications, and other guide-lines for professional planners working in New Jersey. New Jersey Department of Community Affairs The Department offers a wide array of financial and technical assistance programs to local governments, nonprofit agencies, and New Jersey residents. These programs are making New Jersey a better place to live, work and raise a family. New Jersey Office of State Planning The Office of State Planning in the Department of Community Affairs staffs the New Jersey State Planning Commission and the New Jersey Brownfields Task Force. Through the State Development and Redevelopment Plan, the Office works to improve the efficiency and reduce the costs of land development and infrastructure in New Jersey by expanding areas of coordination and cooperation among State and local agencies. Cooper's Ferry Development Association (CFDA) is the private, nonprofit corporation charged with creating and implementing a comprehensive revitalization plan for the Camden Waterfront. It was created through a partnership by the City of Camden, Campbell Soup and RCA. Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission DVRPC works to address key issues, including transportation, land use, environmental protection and economic development in the Pa and NJ area. The Pinelands is our country's first National Reserve and a U.S.Biosphere Reserve of the Man and the Biosphere Program. This internationally important ecological region is 1.1 million acres in size and occupies 22% of New Jersey's land area. In 1979, our state formed a partnership with the federal government to preserve, protect and enhance the natural and cultural resources of this special place.
