Members of the department such as Dr. Russell S. Harrison
have been active in conducting transportation studies for Federal,
State, and local agencies including the Federal Economic Development
Administration, the New York/New Jersey Port Authority, the South
Jersey Port Authority, the Salem Port Authority, and the New
Jersey Department of Transportation. Students in the department
have served in major leadership roles in the U.S.S. New Jersey
Battleship Commission and other preservation/transportation projects.

in form, intelligent in character, and inclusive in service.
