Members of the department such as Michael Lang have been leaders in historical preservation projects in the Delaware Valley Region. 

Camden County Historical Society   Founded in 1899 and is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the collection, preservation and dissemination of Camden County and regional history. This is accomplished by maintaining a research library and museum at its headquarters.
