I welcome you to learn more about earning a Bachelor's degree through Rutgers-Camden's
Undergraduate Liberal Studies Program.
Liberal Studies is a well-rounded major that allows you to experience a variety
of courses in the humanities, social sciences and sciences. Courses are taught
by faculty of diverse backgrounds who are widely acclaimed experts in their
fields. If you have an AAS degree, you are eligible to pursue a Liberal
Studies major though University College at Rutgers-Camden. Under this
program, up to 36 credits in your major and up to 64 total credits can transfer
into Rutgers, allowing most students to enter the university as juniors.
Students who are in the work force and/or raising families find the Liberal
Studies program convenient and rewarding. They appreciate the fact
that the program acknowledges their past academic work. They also appreciate
the opportunity to earn their bachelor's degree through a flexible schedule
of classes offered during the day and evening. And they benefit from
informed, caring advising.
The Undergraduate Liberal Studies program proudly graduated its first class in May 2001 and continues to grow. The interdisciplinary opportunities offered by our program help develop the critical and creative knowledge needed to understand a complex, quickly changing world. I look forward to working with you and helping you pursue your educational and career goals through Liberal Studies.
