Welcome to the Political Science Department

Our nationally-recognized faculty and exciting, challenging courses in the areas of American and Public Policy, International Politics and Methodology offer a rich and rewarding academic experience in a field with multiple career opportunities.

A degree in Political Science provides a solid foundation for careers in law, government service and national security, among
others. Our joint programs with the Law School and the Public Policy Masters programs offer unique opportunities for combining undergraduate and graduate education while our Internship program offers students real-life, hands-on work experience. Students seeking leadership opportunities and the chance to learn outside the classroom can find them through our affiliated student organizations: the Pre-Law Society and the Political Science Society.

The Political Science Department, thanks to an endowment from the Jacob Abraham and Mildred Amelia Baron Endowed Fund, is now able to support special events and student development opportunities.

Whether you decide to pursue a graduate degree or choose to go directly to work, the Political Science Department provides all the tools and preparation necessary for a fulfilling future.
