"A Complex Weave: Women and Identity in Contemporary Art"

Dr. Martin Rosenberg, Rutgers-Camden
Dr. J. Susan Isaacs, Towson University

A Complex Weave aims to provide a sampling of how a number of first and second-generation contemporary women artists, as well as several younger artists, of diverse backgrounds in terms of ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation and other aspects of individuality, have woven the threads of their identity into their work.

"The Role of Interest Groups in the Legislative Process: The Case of Medical Marijuana in New Jersey"

Roseanna Scotti, Director of Drug Policy Alliance New Jersey

Ms. Scotti has lead the effort to advocate for legislation that would allow seriously ill  
patients in New Jersey to have access to medical marijuana with a doctor's recommendation.


Scotti,an attorney, has authored and co-authored law review and medical journal articles on HIV prevention and drug policy. She will  
describe the process that interest groups must undertake to bring their cause to the attention of legislators and the public by focusing  
on the Compassionate Use Campaign to allow seriously ill patients in New Jersey to have access to medical marijuana.

Dr. James Miller is a Professor of Marine and Costal Scienes at Rutgers University and focuses his research on climate change and the global hydrologic cycle.

Dr. Robert Giegengack is a Professor of Earth and Environmental Science at the University of Pennsylvania
