Welcome to the Department of English

Welcome to the home page of the Department of English at Rutgers University, Camden campus. From this site you can get complete information about our faculty members and academic programs, read our department newsletter, learn about exciting interdisciplinary programs on our campus, get updates on departmental events and initiatives, and contact us easily.

Our offices are on the fourth floor of Armitage Hall, 311 North 5th Street, at the foot of the Ben Franklin Bridge. We are open for administrative business from 8:30-4:30 Monday through Friday. (Click here for a campus map.)

The Department of English is divided into four academic units: an undergraduate major that offers courses in six subject areas, a writing program that enables students to satisfy requirements in General Education, a 30-credit Master's program in language and literature, and a 45-credit MFA in Creative Writing. Click on Programs at left for access to web pages for each of these programs.
