Bridging the Gap for Rutgers at Camden County College

The Bridging the Gap scholarship program allows students to complete a bachelor’s degree while lowering Rutgers–Camden tuition in full or by half

Reduce Your Costs and Complete Your Bachelor’s Degree

Because of Rutgers University–Camden’s Premier Partnership with Camden County College, the Bridging the Gap scholarship program is now available to Camden County College transfer students who enroll in the following programs:

  • On-campus bachelor’s degree programs at Rutgers University–Camden.
  • Rutgers University–Camden degree-completion programs on Camden County College Blackwood campus.

HOW IT WORKS

The program closes the gap between federal and state sources of financial support and the balance of tuition and the general campus/off-campus fee. Rutgers–Camden automatically applies the Bridging the Gap scholarship to remaining costs after any other need-based federal and/or state grants have been applied. The student is responsible for other fees, such as the computer fee and online course fee.

  • $60,000 or less family adjusted gross income (AGI) and remaining financial aid eligibility: receive a scholarship covering 100 percent of tuition and the off-campus/campus fee AFTER applying federal and state financial aid grants (not including Federal Work-Study and federal student loans).
  • $60,000 or less family AGI and NO remaining financial aid eligibility: receive a scholarship for 50 percent of tuition and the off-campus/campus fee. The student is responsible for the remaining 50 percent of tuition and off-campus/campus fee and other fees.
  • $60,001 and $100,000 family AGI: receive a scholarship for 50 percent of tuition and the off-campus/campus fee AFTER applying federal and state financial aid grants (not including Federal Work-Study and federal student loans). The student is responsible for the remaining 50 percent of tuition and off-campus/campus fees and other fees.

How to Apply

Applying for Bridging the Gap is easy.

  1. Apply as a transfer applicant for fall 2017.
  2. Complete the 2017-2018 FAFSA by Rutgers’ priority deadline of Feb. 1.

There is no separate application for the program. Applicants who meet the criteria are automatically considered when they apply and are admitted for admission to Rutgers University–Camden.
