Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC) Consortium

University College-Camden is a member of the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges Consortium, which includes approximately 1,800 institutions that offer programs to servicemembers and their families. Membership in the SOC Consortium is based on UCC's provision of a range of services specific to the needs of servicemembers, including the recognition of military-based training programs for academic credit. For more information on SOC, visit http://www.soc.aascu.org/.

Credit for Professional and Military Training
University College Camden utilizes credit recommendations provided by the American Council on Education (ACE) College Credit Recommendation Service. Training experiences from any of the services and from other select organizations are routinely reviewed by ACE, which provides standard college credit recommendations. UCC typically accepts credit recommendations that are consistent with existing transfer policies. The result is that many students are able to apply their training experiences to degree requirements at Rutgers. For more information on ACE credits recommendations for military service, visit http://www.militaryguides.acenet.edu/.

For general information on ACE's College Credit Recommendation Service, visit http://www.acenet.edu/AM/Template.cfm?Section=CCRS. Students with a question about using ACE credit recommendations toward their degree should contact the office of the Associate Dean for University College at (856) 225-6107.

UCC also accepts the results of select College Level Examination Program (CLEP) exams. For more information on CLEP, visit http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/clep/about.html. Students with a question about applying CLEP toward their degree should contact the office of the Associate Dean for University College at (856) 225-6107.
