Professor Robert Wood of the Department of Sociology,
Anthropology, and Criminal Justice will present and discuss "Down
Germantown Avenue," the twelve-minute film that he co-produced
with two Rutgers-Camden students. A single street in Philadelphia
strikingly demonstrates the social inequalities that characterize
many cities in the United States.
This event is part of the Graduate Program in Liberal Studies 2005-2006
series of faculty-student colloquia: "Urbanities: Tales of the
City." The series will focus on selected cities as representing
important cultural tendencies.
Refreshments will be served.
