Important Announcements  (as of July 15th, 2011)

NEW - The University's Board of Governors has voted on the university's tuition and fee rates for the 2011-2012 academic year. However, final totals are still in the process of being calculated and will be posted on this website as soon as they are available early next week.

Consequently, term bills for the fall semester are also not yet available until next week. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

New Jersey state law requires comprehensive health insurance coverage for all college students who are registered full-time and enrolled in a degree-seeking program. In the past Rutgers helped students meet this obligation by providing coverage as part of the student health services fee.

However, in response to concerns raised by students and their families, beginning in Fall 2011, semester health insurance coverage will no longer be included in the student health services fee. Moving forward, students will be given a choice of using an existing health insurance plan, or enrolling in a University-sponsored student health insurance plan. Please click here for a letter from Gregory S. Blimling, Vice President of Student Affairs, detailing these new changes.

Students who have existing insurance will be required to complete an on-line waiver showing proof of insurance each academic year. Students who do not show proof of health insurance by August 10th will be automatically enrolled in the University sponsored health insurance plan and an annual premium of $750 ($375 per semester) will be billed to the student's account.

Students were notified of the Health Insurance pre-enrollment Waiver period though an email sent by our department on July 12, 2011; Click here to review this correspondence.
