The Fall/Spring 2012/2013 Housing Contract is now available for current Rutgers students that are not residents and newly admitted undergraduate and graduate students. Please click the link to the left to complete your housing contract and reserve your space today!

NOTE: If you are a newly admitted undergraduate or graduate student you must officially accept the offer of admission from Rutgers University in order to complete a housing contract. This includes paying any admission deposit that may be required.

Additonal Information for Graduate Students:

2012/2013 brings the exciting opening of our new graduate housing residence, 330 Cooper. ALL graduate students, incoming and current, that complete a 2012/2013 housing agreement will be assigned to space in 330 Cooper.

A few things to look forward to at 330 Cooper:
1. 330 Cooper will be a community focused on providing a living environment especially for graduate, law and doctoral students.
2. Unlike the undergraduate buildings currently on campus, 330 Cooper will not have a guest policy or guest sign-in process. Residents will simply meet their guest in the lobby to provide them entry into the building- no further action will be required, nor will it be required that you escort them out of the building.
3. We will offer housing for graduate students that have a documented spouse or civil union partner. We will not be offering traditional "family housing." Children and non-spousal family members will not be covered under this potential option.
4. Housing & Residence Life will still maintain a student staff presence in the building to offer support to the graduate residence community.
5. 330 Cooper will offer graduate students the benefits associated with off-campus apartment living and combine them with the peace of mind of security and enhanced community living with a focus on collective learning.

Newly admitted Graduate Students: The admission process for graduate students differs from the process used for undergraduate students. This sometimes causes a delay in systems talking to each other, which may have an effect on your ability to complete your housing contract online. Residence Life will assist you in getting past any of these issues. If you run into any problems once you click the link to the left and attempt to login, please click here and let us know. Someone from our office will contact you within two business days, or sooner in most cases, with additional information.

Additional Information for Undergraduate Students:

The opening of our new graduate housing residence, 330 Cooper, also provides many benefits and enhancements for undergraduate students looking to enhance their college experience by living on-campus.

Our staff is excited that for the first time in the last several years we will not need to triple students for 2012/2013. In addition to that, while our graduate student population will be housed completely at 330 Cooper, undergraduate students will now have access to more apartment offerings in our existing Tower and Apartment buildings, including 4-bedroom/2-bath apartments and 2-bedroom/1-bath apartments. These additional spaces represent a signifigant advance in the options we will be able to offer to undergraduate students.

Housing & Residence Life is also developing a series of Themed Experience Floors or clusters that will provide enhanced programming and enrichment in areas of importance to our students. These floors or clusters could include focuses in the areas of:

1. Health Sciences- a cluster where students majoring in or considering a major in an academic discipline that typically leads to a career in the health sciences live together to share learned knowledge, study collectively, and receive programming and support options that help to further their interests in the health sciences.

2. Future Business Leaders- a cluster of students admitted into the School of Business that live together to make academic connections outside of the classroom easier. Programming and support from Housing & Residence Life would be focused on exposing students in this cluster to business career development opportunities.

3. Undecided Majors/Undecided Career- a cluster of students that are still seeking guidance and direction on a path toward their bachelor's degree and/or future career path. Housing & Residence Life would work to focus campus and local resources to this group of students to help them make these important decisions while exposing them to different opportunities.

And more!

As we develop the floors/clusters we will advertise them to our current and incoming resident community and provide an avenue for you to express your interest in living among one of the communities.

We have many plans, but it all begins with you making the choice to live on-campus.
