Rutgers University is an educational environment in which students enhance their academic skills, learn citizenship and democracy, and are taught social skills that help them reach independence. As such, the Campus Involvement Assistant (CIA) works with both resident and commuter students to enhance the development of the entire student. The CIA will work with the Office of Campus Involvement & Residence Life to promote a wide range of programs, events and social activities through various publicity means. The CIA will design and implement programs specific to the resident & commuter population through lectures, seminars, workshops, & activities. It is through these programs that our aim is to enhance civility, citizenship and democracy within the campus, to promote a sense of campus community, and enhance leadership development, scholarship, and service opportunities.
