 The Alfredo Santiago Endowed Scholarship at Rutgers was established in loving memory of Alfredo Santiago. The Santiago Endowed Scholarship provides financial assistance to full-time incoming first-year undergraduate students who graduate from the LEAP Charter High School in Camden and enroll at Rutgers. The scholarship is based on academic merit and financial need. To increase diversity at Rutgers, preference is given to Latino and African-American students majoring in nontraditional areas of study such as math, science, engineering, and premed. Scholarships may be renewed for up to three years (or four years if the student is enrolled in a five-year program), if recipients remain in good academic standing. |
