The Rutgers/LEAP Law Clinic provides school-based legal services
for families, with respect to housing issues, public benefits,
and family law. A pro-bono panel of attorneys from the Camden
Bar Association provides free representation to families.
Parents are represented by third-year students in the Rutgers
Camden Law School Civil Practice Clinic, under the joint supervision
of Alice Dueker, Director of Clinical Programs and Traci Overton,
Clinical Staff Attorney.
Office hours are held to meet with parents for an intake interviews
at the LEAP Academy on Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Parents
may stop in during office hours without a prior appointment.

Legal Education
Workshops
The Rutgers/LEAP Legal Project will also provide legal education
workshops for parents of the LEAP Academy students in an effort
to solve and prevent problems. Past workshops include housing
law, personal finances and family law. All workshops are held
at the LEAP Academy. For further information, contact: Gail

Volunteer
Income Tax Assistance (VITA)
Rutgers law students will be available to help families filing
tax returns. Even families not earning enough money to require
filing may be eligible to receive money from the government
through the Earned Income Tax Credit. For more information contact:
