Addresses the health and well-being of children and families of
Camden.
The Center, located in the LEAP Academy, offers a full range of
Health and Human Services, including a primary health care clinic.
As a result, the clinic provides a model for the integration of
health and human services in charter schools nationwide, particularly
those in medically underserved urban areas. Staffed by a full-time
nurse practitioner, a nurse- midwife, medical assistants and social
workers, the Center is accessible during day and evening hours.

The Center has adopted an interdisciplinary team approach including
a parent coordinator, a school nurse, school social workers, a
child study team, and nurse practitioner.
Medical staff is on-call when the health center is closed, providing
evening and weekend phone consultation for urgent medical problems.
Services are rendered confidentially without regard to race, religion,
color, gender, age, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability,
or marital, military or veteran's status.
Day, evening, and weekend hours are available to accommodate busy
work and school schedules. Hours will vary according to the needs
of the community. All health insurance plans are accepted
