Bob Young
Bob Young of Mt. Laurel joined the Rutgers-Camden staff in Feb., 2004, as the school's athletic trainer. Young,
who has worked as the trainer in several New Jersey high schools, replaced Tom Maxwell, who resigned
in December, 2003, to return to school.
Young is a Stratford native who graduated from Sterling High School in 1978. He received his B.S. in Health
and Physical Education, with a concentration on athletic training, from Temple University in 1983. He
received his M.S. in Sports Medicine from the University of Arizona in 1984, and added a P.A.-C (Physician
Assistant-Certified) in 1999 from Hahnemann University.
Young spent 15 years as a scholastic athletic trainer at South River, Rancocas Valley and Edgewood high
schools in New Jersey. He also spent three years as an orthopedic surgical physician's assistant.
Married with two children, Young also has operated his own company, Geese Chasers, LLC., for the past five years.
The company, based in Mt. Laurel, helps clear Canadian Geese from parks, athletic fields and other venues.
