WINTER POETRY AND PROSE GETAWAY
The Fifteenth Annual Winterim Poetry and Prose Getaway
with Peter E. Murphy and Friends
January 18-21, 2008 at the Grand Hotel in Cape May, NJ

Join us in Cape May to begin a few poems or work on a story, novel, play, creative essay, song or visual image during the three-day holiday weekend honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The Winter Poetry and Prose Getaway is well known for its challenging and supportive atmosphere which encourages imaginative risk taking and promotes freedom and transformation in each participant's creative work. Break the winter thaw! Workshops include:

Poetry workshops include a free poetry tutorial. Additional tutorials in poetry or prose may be purchased for an extra fee.

REGISTRATION Tuition of $375 includes most workshops, Friday and Sunday night receptions, special afternoon activities, two lunches and tutorial for poets.

Fifty percent deposit is due by November 15, with the balance due by December 15. Cancellations before December 15 will be fully refunded minus a $50 processing fee.

Graduate Credit is available through Rutgers University in Camden. AMHERST EARLY MUSIC WINTER WEEKEND WORKSHOP

Shake those winter blues and join us for a delightful weekend of music-making!

Martin Luther King Day Weekend
Friday, January 18 to Monday, January 21, 2008
in Philadelphia, PA and Camden, NJ

Featuring Julianne Baird (voice), Hal Tol (recorder), Sarah Cunningham (viol), Emlyn Ngai (violin), Dorothy Olson (dance), Richard Stone (lute) and more!

The workshop consists of four class periods a day. We offer consort music at all levels except beginner as well as masterclasses in voice, recorder, viol, harpsichord, and Baroque flute. Other classes include medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque repertory, large-group playing and singing and early notation. Classes are held in the spacious, well-lighted classrooms of the Rutgers University Fine Arts Building, just across the river from Philadelphia in Camden, NJ. Door to door van service will run between the Omni Hotel and Rutgers, a 7-minute ride. Instrument storage is available at Rutgers.
