REGISTERING FOR CLASSES
ALL STUDENTS
Registration for the Winterim must be completed by the deadlines listed in the calendar below. Students may only register for one course in the Winterim. Students are expected to attend all classes and present all required work. Registration begins on Monday, October 1, 2007. Last day for registration without a late fee is Friday, November 30, 2007, and with late fee of $50.00 is Friday, December 14, 2007.

RUTGERS STUDENTS
Students that attended any Rutgers University college in Fall of 2007 may register for classes using the online Webreg (http://webreg.rutgers.edu), the Touchtone Telephone Registration System (856)225-1999, the online registration form on the Rutgers-Camden Winterim website (http://winterim.camden.rutgers.edu/admin-mail.html) or the paper registration form. Please note that Rutgers students not from one of the Rutgers-Camden colleges may require a special permission number for courses that have prerequisites, as the course numbers between campuses are not always the same. Contact the Winterim Office at (856)225-6098 or email winterim@camden.rutgers.edu for special permission numbers or any other questions. Rutgers students may use the Repeat option in the Winterim Session.

Please note that the Webreg/TouchTone system will operate only until approximately four weeks before the last day of registration, after which time students must process their registration either through the Winterim website registration form, or as a paper registration.

NON-RUTGERS STUDENTS
Individuals not from Rutgers University may take courses in the Rutgers-Camden Winterim. These students must fill out the registration form included on the Winterim website or a hard copy registration form. Course registrations from non-Rutgers students must be approved by the Winterim Office. Students registering for business or graduate courses should include an unofficial transcript with their registration. Forms should be submitted to the Winterim Office, 319 Cooper St, Camden, NJ 08102, or may be FAXed to (856)225-6524. Admittance to the Rutgers Winterim Session does not grant admittance to the university. For admittance to the Spring or Fall semesters, contact the Rutgers Admissions Office at (856)225-6104.

WORKFORCE/UNEMPLOYMENT STUDENTS
Eligible unemployed persons interested in Winterim Session are required to meet with the Winterim Session Director before the start of term. Registration will start on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 and will continue until the first day of class on Friday, December 21, 2007. Registration is on a space available basis with the approval of the Director. Students may only register for a single course in the Winterim. Students may register only during these days. Earlier registrations will be billed normally requiring full payment.

CHANGING COURSES
You may change your registration (dropping one course and adding another) using the Webreg, RTTRS, Winterim website, or hard copy Change of Course Form at either the Winterim Office or the Registrar's Office, or with written communication sent to the Winterim Office at 319 Cooper St., Camden, NJ 08102, FAX: (856)225-6524. Verbal changes (in person or over the phone) are not permitted. Course changes may be done up until the last day of registration. After the last day of registration per the calendar below, there will be a $50 late change fee for any course changes.

WITHDRAWING FROM COURSES
Students may withdraw from class for a full refund prior to the first meeting of the class. No full or partial refunds will be processed after the start of class. Withdrawals may be done with the RTTRS, webreg, Winterim website, hard copy Change of Course Form at either the Winterim Office or the Registrar’s Office, or written communication sent to the Winterim Office at 319 Cooper St., Camden, NJ 08102, FAX: (856)225-6524. Verbal withdrawals (in person or over the phone) are not permitted. Not paying the bill does not constitute a withdrawal from class.

Once the class has begun no full or partial refunds will be granted, so it is suggested that students contact the instructor before the class starts with any questions they might have regarding content. Withdrawal without failing grade is permitted until Friday, January 11, 2008. No withdrawals will be permitted after that date. It is strongly suggested that students contact the professor to review the course syllabus before the class starts to avoid problems with class conflicts or workloads.

PAYMENT PROCEDURES
TERM BILL AND PAYMENT OF FEES
Students should receive a bill after registration. All students must submit payment to the Bursar’s Office by the deadline listed below. Students have the option of paying for their courses via credit card from the Rutgers webreg site at any time up to the last day for payment without a late fee, Friday November 30, 2007. If the student has not received a bill before the payment deadline, it is his or her responsibility to contact the Bursar’s Office (phone (856)225-6021; FAX (856)225-6017) to arrange for payment either in person, via the webreg website, or otherwise. Payment of all tuition and fees must be received by the Bursar's Office by November 30, 2007. Postmark dates are not considered date of payment. Please note that the Bursar’s Office hours of operation are 9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Please note that students will not be able to immediately pay for classes submitted via the Winterim website registration form. A registration form submitted via the Winterim website will require two business days before charges appear in the Bursar’s system and payment may be made in a remote fashion. Registrations made through the Registrar’s webreg system update same day. Please note that late fees are charged based on date of receipt of payment, not date of receipt of registration.

Students are responsible for the course tuition and fees unless they officially drop the course by the appropriate deadline, regardless of whether they attend the class. Students who do not pay for their course by the deadlines will NOT be eligible to receive either a grade or credit for the course. Not paying the bill does not constitute a withdrawal from class.

Checks should be made payable to Rutgers, The State University. Payment must be made either in person, via the webreg website (http://webreg.rutgers.edu) or by mail to the Bursar’s Office before deadlines (see schedule). Any bill paid during the late registration period must be paid in person and must include a $50 late payment fee. The date on which the cashier received the bill payment is the effective date of payment. Postmark dates will NOT be considered as payment dates. Partial payments are not permitted. Returned checks incur a $50 late fee and a $10 return check fee.

NOTE: THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE IN THE PAYMENT POLICIES REGARDING CREDIT CARDS. Credit card payments will only be accepted for Master Card and Discover; Rutgers no longer accepts Visa. In addition, students will be assessed a non-refundable convenience fee of 2.2% for processing online credit card payments.

FULL PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED IN THE BURSAR’S OFFICE, 329 COOPER STREET, CAMDEN, NJ 08102 BY: FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2007 TO AVOID A LATE FEE. Payments not received by the deadline will be assessed a $50.00 late fee. Tuition does not cover travel costs, lab or material fees, or books.

Refunds for withdrawals will be granted until the start of class. Once the class has begun, no full or partial refunds will be granted. Refunds are granted by the Bursar's office and take 7-10 business days to process - contact the Bursar's Office at (856)225-6021 for more information. Generally speaking, refunds are granted in the form of a check made out to the student. The check will be held in the Bursar's Office until instructions for distribution are provided by the student.

FINANCIAL AID
Although the university is unable to provide traditional sources of federal and state financial aid for Winterim, students who have not utilized their full loan eligibility in the academic year may wish to contact the financial aid office to determine if an adjustment to their loans can be made. The Financial Aid Office is located in the lower level of Armitage Hall, just below the Registrar’s Office, phone (856)225-6039.
