GENERAL INFORMATION
WINTERIM OFFICE
The Winterim Office is located at 319 Cooper St., 2nd Floor, Camden, NJ 08102, phone:(856)225-6098, FAX:(856)225-6524. Hours are M-F, 8:30am-4:30pm until the Winterim Session starts. During the Winterim Session hours will be M-F, 8:30am-6:00pm. For further information or questions, you may also email the office at winterim@camden.rutgers.edu.
STUDENT IDENTIFICATION
Non-Rutgers students will be provided with an ID (the paid receipt may be used as an ID on campus for the duration of the class to access campus facilities). All Winterim Session students should also have access to an internet account. If you do not have an account, contact the Winterim Office on how to acquire an account.
PARKING
Rutgers students with valid parking permits for Fall 2007 or Spring 2008 semesters DO NOT need to purchase any additional permits for Winterim Session. Non-Rutgers students and students without a valid parking permit must purchase a parking permit from the Parking Department (NOT the Bursar's Office) located in the main lobby of the Police Building. The Parking Department hours are 8:30am-4:00pm, Monday through Friday (closed daily from 12:30pm-1:30pm); Phone (856)225-6137. The Permit Fee is $10.00 and is valid from December 21, 2007 through January 18, 2008. Students may park in Winterim at Lot 7 during the day, located straight down Cooper St. at the Waterfront. The Shuttle runs from 7:10am to 5:00pm from Lot 7 to Campus. After 4:30pm, students may park in Lot 2 (on 5th St. by Armitage Hall) or Lot 14 (on 3rd St. by the Gymnasium). Parking in Lots 12 and 13 (front and rear of the Business and Science Building) is restricted to Residential Student Parking Permits only - all others will be ticketed and/or towed.
SNOW DAYS
It is the general policy of the University not to cancel regularly scheduled classes because of weather conditions. However, there are instances where especially adverse and hazardous weather conditions make it impossible to travel and to conduct academic activities at the campus. Announcements canceling classes will be made over KYW 1060 AM, with the campus identified by the code number of 605 for day courses and 2605 for evening courses. Also, visit the Rutgers, Camden website at: www.camden.rutgers.edu. Click on “Hot Topics” for the latest updates on campus closings. If the campus is closed, then there will be no one on campus to answer the phones, so please do not call the campus switchboard. If a day is missed due to inclement weather, that day will be made up on either Friday, January 11 or Friday, January 18, 2008.
LIBRARY HOURS
The Rutgers Camden Robeson Library will be open December 21, 8:00am-5:00pm.
Rutgers University is closed Dec. 22, 2007 - Jan. 1, 2008. However, the virtual Library is accessible via internet 24-hours, 7 days/week for use of online databases and catalogs.

ACADEMIC POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

ATTENDANCE
Students are expected to attend all scheduled course meetings. Missing one class is equivalent to missing a week in a regular semester. It is the policy of the university to excuse without penalty students who are absent because of religious observance and to allow the makeup of work missed because of such absences.
ACADEMIC HONESTY
Each student bears a fundamental responsibility for maintaining academic integrity and intellectual honesty in his/her work. Acts of plagiarism, cheating, or other forms of academic dishonesty are treated by the university as disciplinary matters. NON-DISCRIMINATORY POLICY

SEXUAL HARASSMENT POLICY
Sexual Harassment of students by faculty, administrators, other employees, or fellow students is a form of sexual discrimination prohibited by university policy and by Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972. The university has both informal and formal procedures for resolving complaints. Full policy available in Summer Session Office.
STUDENT RECORDS AND PRIVACY RIGHTS
Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, complies with the Family Education Rights & Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) & makes public announcement of the law. FERPA was designed to protect the confidentiality of student records; guarantee student access; regulate disclosure of information; regulate access to student files; provide opportunities for students to correct or amend records and add explanatory statements; and provide opportunities for the student to file complaints with the U.S. Department of Education alleging infractions of the law. The university is permitted to provide directory information (name, address, phone number) without student's consent.
UNIVERSITY CODE OF STUDENT CONDUCT
