PARKING INFORMATION

PARKING
Parking permits are available from the Parking Department, 409 N. 4th St, in the lobby of the Campus Police (next to the Athletic Center). The Parking Department hours are 8:30am-4:00pm, Monday through Friday (closed daily from 12:30pm-1:30pm); Phone (856)225-6137. A completed application as well as the Motor Vehicle Registration (copy accepted) is required.

Parking fees per session or for the summer will be: $25 for one four-week session; $40 for one six-week session; and $70 for the entire summer. There are no refunds for summer parking. Academic Year Night Student hangtags may be exchanged with a fee for a Summer Sessions permit that allows summer daytime parking. Parking in lots without a valid permit will result in a $50 fine and towing and/or $50 booting fee.

Students may only park in approved lots and spaces. For daytime, this space shall be City Lot 11 (down toward the waterfront). After 4:30pm, students may park in Lot 2 (on 5th St. by Armitage Hall) or Lot 14 (on 3rd St. across from the Gymnasium). Parking in Lots 12 and 13 (front and rear of the Business and Science Building) is restricted to Residential Student Parking Permits only - all others will be ticketed and/or towed. Refer to the map below for Parking Lot locations.

Occasionally events at the waterfront will result in changes in parking availability. Please check for notices (email, signage and website) to avoid problems. Every effort is made to inform students if there is going to be a change.

Additionally, there is metered street parking on 5th Street, Pearl Street, 3rd Street, and Friends Ave. Meters are $0.50 per hour and are active from 8:00am to 8:00pm. Enforcement at the meters is through the City of Camden, not through Rutgers University, and tickets for expired meters will be issued from the City. A parking garage is also available at Sixth and Cooper Sts - rates there are variable.
