Research Week kicked off at Rutgers University–Camden with a keynote lecture, “The Latest Novelties: New Goods and New Ideas in 19th-Century America,” presented by Professor of History Wendy Woloson. Vice Chancellor of Research Thomas Risch said he was delighted to have Woloson lead the week because it is important that the word “research” is not simply defined as inquiry into the natural and hard sciences.
Rutgers–Camden students are learning about physics in the kitchen. In a popular new class, Hunter King, assistant professor of physics, utilizes the university’s test kitchen to teach students about the introductory principles of physics.
Rutgers University–Camden is proud to announce that Paul Boyd, a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in philosophy, has been named a 2024 Harry S. Truman Scholar. Boyd is among 60 new Truman scholars selected from 709 candidates nominated by 285 colleges and universities nationwide.
